Healing times. **The following is a rough guide on various healing times. Everyone is different and there are many factors

including diet and lifestyle choices that may improve or lengthen your healing time. In this time you can expect swelling, bruising, redness,

itches and minor discomfort.

Piercing Healing Timeline

Ears and Cartilage Piercings

Healing Time: 6 months+ minimum

Just because it’s pain-free to the touch doesn’t mean the inner workings are fully healed!

Face and Lip Piercings

Healing Time: 6 months+ minimum

You might not feel any discomfort on the surface, but remember, the healing magic is still happening inside!

Navel and Body Piercings

Healing Time: 6 months+ minimum

Again, pain-free on the outside? Great! But don’t forget the healing adventure happening beneath the skin.

Pro Tip: Cover up your navel piercing if you’re rocking high-waisted bottoms to keep irritation at bay!

Give your piercings the TLC they deserve; healing takes time, but the fabulous results are totally worth it!

Nipple piercings typically take a minimum of 6 months to fully heal, with some going even longer.

While they may feel pain-free to the touch, remember that the healing process is still happening beneath the surface.

On the other hand, dermal anchors have a longer healing time, requiring at least 1 year to fully heal.

For the first week, keep them covered day and night with spot dot plasters, and in week 2, continue to cover them at night.

Just like nipple piercings, they might feel just fine on the outside, but the inner workings are still in recovery mode.

Keep in mind that dermal anchors have a higher rejection rate compared to traditional piercings, so it's essential to stay vigilant with your new adornment.

Also, a downsize is generally recommended for most piercings since you would have initially been pierced with a longer bar to accommodate swelling.

2 to 4 weeks after your piercing, please arrange a downsize appointment.

This will minimize movement on your healing piercing and assist in preventing jewellery migration.

**Downsize appointments are quick and easy and will require a fee to cover cost of new jewellery.

Please do not bar size down yourself as you can cause issues by not using high quality pieces and irritation from malpractice.

Book your downsize appointment!

To start the remodelling process, some piercings could take months or years!

Every time you bump it, healing time re starts to day 1, so be aware!

Running water in the shower alongside your non chemical soaps is enough to clean the piercing, or STERILE saline solution such as Nielmed Solution. Dab try with paper towel.

**Overcleaning gets rid of good germs that we need to heal! You can bath or shower normally but be aware that soaking isn’t good.

Have a shower and let things heal naturally. Make sure to dry dry dry after cleaning!

Don’t pick - leave them scabs alone! I cant stress this enough.

Don’t fiddle or twist - this causes irritation and restarts the healing process.

Be aware when sleeping! Try to sleep on a different side as pressure on your new piercing can

cause migration and irritation bumps to occur. Invest in a doughnut pillow to rest your head if this is unavoidable...
